it's a 2009 160mm float RC2 in the picture, got a 2011 160mm Van RC2 on it now

The RP23 is working well, i don't have any problems with it bottoming out. My non boost valve RP23 used to bottom out though on my old kona stinky. I'm thinking about getting a coil on the back for going to france and a uplift days, it's a lot of money to swap out though. Ideally i'd like a coil all the time but as you said earlier yours was useless trail riding, and i don't want to sacrifice that ! I've heard the cane creek double barrel doesn't work with VPP well, which is a shame cause because i would like one

Sounds good on the tyre front then , might invest in some for the summer ! The Reverb is great couldn't do without it now, there is play though but you don't notice it when riding ( i know lots of people say that ) but you really don't. Nothing like the slop on on crank bros. It also pops up no problems. Maybe hold out for Fox to make something special without play in ?!

Yeah i have thought about Nobby Nics but they are expensive, maybe if i'm feeling generous next time i change them !

Thanks for the comment/ warning ! I usually have a bit more chain on it with a mid cage saint mech, i've swapped it over because the longer one needs a bit of TLC (a fair amount of sideways play ). I'll be sure to keep that in mind though until i get the other one back on there !

14kgs sounds about right, got a 2011 van 36 rc2 kashima on it now so add another 200g ha. Big fan of the smooth coil though so not too bothered about the added weight (and they look awesome)
